One-on-one Consultation
We work with you to create a solar energy system that meets your energy and lifestyle needs. Our consultants will conduct a survey of your home and create a custom proposal which will include your system layout, energy savings, the system cost with your financing options, and the applicable tax credit. We make sure all of your questions are answered and you understand all of the details before we move forward.
Custom Solar System Design
Your home or business is unique. That’s why our in-house staff of designers create a solar energy system to meet your needs, budget and building structure limitations. Your solar energy system will be designed to comply with zoning and permitting guidelines, and be as visually pleasing as possible. At A.M. Financing Options
A.M. Sun Solar has more financing options than any other local solar company. We know that your solar energy system has to save you money and be a smart investment. We will show you financing options that work with your budget and credit score to ensure you save money each month. We will also include the current federal tax credit information so you can see how your savings will go even further. Financing options include cash purchase, loans, leases, and pre-paid power purchase agreements (PPA’s).
Permitting
Once your design is complete, we will email it to you for your approval. After you approve the design, we will submit your design plans to the local jurisdiction.
Installation Scheduling
Once your permit has been issued, we will notify you of a rough installation date. Depending on our current workload this date can be as soon as one week out. We will confirm the exact date with you prior to starting the installation of your solar system.
System Installation
The time required for installation varies from project to project depending on the size of the system and the type of installation, but a typical system takes anywhere from 3 days to one week to complete. Ask your solar consultant for a more accurate estimate for your project.
Inspection
After completing your installation we will arrange for final inspection. Typically the inspection will be schdeuled within a week after we’ve finished installing your system, although some jurisdictions do take longer due to their limited personnel.
Interconnection
Once we have your signed off permit, we will submit the paperwork for interconnection with your utility provider. They have up to 30-business days to grant you permission to operate for your solar system (PTO). Your solar system may not be turned on prior to receiving PTO.
Online Monitoring & Project Completion
After receiving PTO we will get your system turned on and let you know it’s up and running. If your system included online monitoring, you will be emailed with your login and password for the online portal. Approximately one week after your system has been turned on, we will send you a Solar System Information email containing a link to our website giving you access to manufacturer warranties, utility information, and federal tax credit documents. You will also receive a copy of your signed off permit, the design layout, and your signed contract with A.M. Sun Solar.
Ongoing Service
At A.M. Sun Solar we stand behind our work with a 12-year workmanship warranty. For our clients with online monitoring we may be alerted in the event of a system failure, allowing our in-house warranty specialist to respond quickly, getting to work on a solution to the problem. It’s a part of who we are as a company.
