A.M. Sun Solar Donates 20,000 to Jack's Helping Hand 2019

August was a big month for our friends and neighbors on the Central Coast whose daily lives and health are a real struggle. A.M. Sun Solar, a solar company located in Paso Robles, sets a goal and commits to donating a percentage from every system sold each year to a local non-profit.

The connection between A.M. Sun Solar and Jack’s Helping Hand is a personal one. Jack’s Helping Hand provides support to one of A.M. Sun Solar’s employees Adam Scorby and his son, Calin. At 36 weeks Calin was diagnosed in utero with a rare genetic disorder called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. The road for Calin has been tough and challenging. Jack’s Helping Hand has helped Adam with the financial cost of traveling to Stanford to see the specialist Calin requires and for his multiple surgeries.

This year A.M. Sun Solar set a goal of giving $20,000 to Jack’s Helping Hand in San Luis Obispo. A record-breaking sales month in August raced A.M. Sun Solar past the finish line to meet their donation goal.

“Jack’s Helping Hand has a special place in our heart.” Says Mark Miller, Partner at A.M. Sun Solar. “The incredible support they have given Adam and others in our community lines right up with our mission to ‘grow communities with the power of the sun.’ We’re very proud of our team donating a portion of their paycheck every month to Jack’s. We’re up to $300 a month now, and it keeps growing!”

“From our beginning, Jack’s Helping Hand has relied on people in our community to help us help others.” Said Leslie Orradre, Interim Executive Director at Jack’s Helping Hand. “A.M. Sun Solar has been an amazing contributor to the success of our programs. We appreciate their commitment, generosity, and loyalty. The stewardship they have devoted to Jack’s Helping Hand is priceless.”

Paul and Bridget Ready founded Jack’s Helping Hand in memory of their son Jack, whose three-year struggle with a rare form of brain cancer ended in 2004. Their mission is to provide community programs that meet the unique challenges of children with cancer or special needs under the age of 21.

A.M. Sun Solar is a locally owned and operated solar installation company located in Paso Robles. They install solar energy systems for Central California homes, businesses, farms, and wineries. In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 they were listed in the top 2 fastest-growing companies on the Central Coast by Inc. 5000 with the highest rating in customer satisfaction. They are proud to not only support but employ over 60 Central Coast residents.
