We recommend cleaning your solar panels just before summer to make sure they are producing as much energy as possible.
AM Sun Solar partner, Cory Howe, says to “think of it like cleaning your car, a soft bristled brush and water will do just fine.” Our solar panels come with a layer of anti-reflective coating and brushes and solutions can strip that away or scratch the panels.
If you are fortunate enough to be getting some rain right now, that could be enough to clean the panels and save you some work. The rain water washes away enough dust and dirt without being too abrasive.
