We love the holidays at A.M. Sun Solar! There are so many wonderful family-friendly events in San Luis Obispo County, and we wanted to share some of our favorites with you. Cambria Christmas Market – Nov 29th – December 23rd

You will love the annual Cambria Christmas Market, a festive and beautiful gathering in the style of Germany’s Christmas Markets. Among the many unique offerings are tempting local food and drink, with brats, fresh-baked goods and treats, traditional German hot spiced wine – guaranteed to keep you cozy while wandering through displays featuring over one million lights! Enjoy vendors, lights, food, live music, and fun for all at the Cambria Christmas Market.
Cayucos Christmas Tree Lighting & Arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Claus – Dec 1st
Cayucos Christmas Tree Lighting and arrival of Santa this winter in Cayucos. The event includes Christmas carols, refreshments, and a chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in their lovely Victorian home.
Movie Night at The Cliffs Hotel and Spa “Elf” – Dec 1st
Follow along with Buddy the Elf, as he spreads Christmas spirit! The free showing of Elf will take place in the Ballroom, be sure to wear your ugliest holiday sweater to be entered into the giveaway! They’ll have food and drinks for purchase “we try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup”! This event is open to the public, and the movie starts at 5:30pm.
All ages are welcome, but no outside food or beverages, and no high backed chairs. This movie is rated PG.

“Light Up The Downtown Holiday Celebration!” – Atascadero – Dec 6th
Kick-off the event with Art & Wine along with the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. To participate in this portion of the event, the charge is $20/ ticket and includes a wine glass and wine tastings among participating downtown merchants! This event will be followed by the lighting of the Historic City Hall.
Children can enjoy a visit with Santa following the lighting as well as enjoy a complimentary tour of Historic City Hall and hot chocolate. PLUS complimentary hayrides and firetruck rides! This portion of the event is free, and everyone is invited to bring their family and friends to enjoy an evening of Holiday fun!
Morro Bay City Wide Holiday Tree Lighting – Dec 6th
Join Morro Bay for simultaneous lighting of the many Holiday Trees around the City of Morro Bay.
The citywide celebration begins at 5:00 PM. Locations are City Park, Downtown, T-Pier, Anchor Park, & other various locations around town.
Grover Beach Holiday Tree Lighting – Dec 7th
Join Grover Beach for their Annual Tree Lighting ceremony at Ramona Garden Park Center. Warm-up with cocoa, cookie decorating, SNOW & caroling. PLUS Santa will be paying a visit!
Morro Bay Lighted Boat Parade – Dec 7th
40+ decorated boats will compete and parade in Morro Bay. Other Activities include Santa in his House, Hot Cocoa, and White Cap Band to take place during the parade.
Atascadero Musical Holiday – Walk Around the Lake – Dec 7th
Gather your friends and family to celebrate the season with a special evening of serenading at the Musical Holiday Walk Around the Lake Park!
Join in the fun with musical groups, carolers, Santa, community singing, holiday decorations and more!

Paso Robles Christmas Light Parade – Dec 7th
Paso Robles’ annual downtown Christmas light parade is sure to be a treat for the whole family!
San Luis Obispo Reindeer Run 5k – Dec 7th
Dust off your antlers and lace up your running shoes because Reindeer Run is just around the corner! Head to Mitchell Park for a 5K Fun Run/Walk, pancake breakfast, costume contest, photos with Santa, and holiday cheer! All proceeds go to San Luis Obispo County Friday Night Live to support substance use prevention and youth development programs across the county.
$25 for adults, $20 for students, family discounts available.
Atascadero Winter Wonderland – Dec 13th
Winter Wonderland ~ One of the Central Coast’s Largest Holiday Events!
On December 13th from 5pm-9pm, Atascadero’s Sunken Gardens & Downtown will be turned into a winter paradise for all ages. There will be a massive snow slide, snow play areas, rock climbing walls, bounce houses, Joe’s Little Train, Santa, and Mrs. Claus, and over 50 food and craft vendors await you! Paso Robles Vine Street Christmas Victorian Showcase – Dec 14th
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas along Vine Street from 8th to 21st Streets as the neighbors feature entertainment in their yards, refreshments, music, Santa, and much more. All as a free gift to the community from the Paso Robles Area Historical Society and Paso Robles Main Street Association.
